She was raised in New Mexico, so her connection to the Southwest is very strong. After attending TCU, Michelle lived in Minnesota and Washington State before settling in Austin. Having relocated many times, she easily relates to both the excitement and nervousness of moving to a new home, even if it is just across town.
Michelle and her husband are empty nesters with four grown children who they love spending time with. When they’re not hanging out with family, the couple enjoys traveling to national parks to hike. During the summer, Michelle can be found helping with the harvest at her cherry farm in Montana. A self-proclaimed bookworm, she keeps at least three books on her nightstand—something light and fictional, something inspirational and something educational.
