WHY IS NORTH CENTRAL SA YOUR FAVORITE AREA?

I love the craftsmanship in older homes here, the era a house was built in really tells the character in the bones of the house. I love all the surprises you find in them, hidden closets, lead glass windows, phone nooks and fun spaces you don’t see built in newer homes. So many new people are moving into the area and keeping the character of the homes yet modernizing them at the same time. It can feel like walking through a home decor magazine.

WHAT IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN NORTH CENTRAL?

La Fonda on Main, nothing compares to the authenticity of the Mexican ingredients to the ambiance of the patio. I also love Scratch off San Pedro, it is a great place to stop in for coffee and quiche.

WHAT MAKES NORTH CENTRAL SA UNIQUE?

There is a great mix of homes in this area! A glimpse of the vast variety include Italian Renaissance, Prairie School, Spanish Colonial too simple Craftsman and Ranch styles. And the soil in this area is wonderful for growing and lush landscapes.

WHY WOULD SOMEONE WANT TO LIVE IN NORTH CENTRAL SA?

Everything is within arms reach as well as accessibility to major highways. The diversity of people moving into the area make for a great mix of neighbors. From retirees to young professionals wanting accessibility to downtown and entertainment, there are all kinds of people living in NCSA, life long locals to out of state newcomers. My crystal ball also shows the values only improving as time goes by, but more than that, everything someone would need or want is close to home here.

WHAT IS A LOCAL EVENT IN NORTH CENTRAL SA NOT TO BE MISSED?

My favorite time around the area is at Christmas, I love all the yard decorations, wreaths and lights everywhere. It’s warm and fuzzy and beautiful.

WHAT IS A GREAT OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE IN NORTH CENTRAL SA?

The Zoo! We have a really sweet little zoo. The giraffes are back and Africa live exhibit is a ton of fun!  Taking a train ride around the park and having a picnic along the river is MUST with your zoo visit plans!

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP IN NORTH CENTRAL SA?

During Fiesta, Graciela’s at The Yard gets me excited for the city wide non profit parties....she hand makes tops and hats and other accessories that are really fun and one of a kind. I also love Joyeux for home decor, it has unique pieces and ideas to make a cozy home.

WHAT IS A PLACE TO TRULY DISCONNECT IN NORTH CENTRAL SA?

Brackenridge Park, the trees, the shade, the river, the birds. It's a little piece of peace in the middle of urban living.

WHAT'S YOUR SOURCE OF PASSION FOR REAL ESTATE?

As a kid I would get in trouble for talking my friends into exploring vacant new builds that still had doors left off or windows missing. My best friend’s mother was an interior designer with the best taste. It was always fun for me to explore her design room where she put pieces together for high end clients. I think this field has always been in my bones, I even studied architecture and interior design at school when I was in college.
